Year in Review

2024 was unlike any other year I’ve experienced professionally—or personally, for that matter. For starters, I turned 40. While I didn’t worry about this or suddenly start asking Perplexity “top signs you’re over the hill,” it did give me a moment of pause. Age always has been just a number to me, but let’s be honest—it’s also a great scapegoat for forgetting names or suddenly needing a knee brace for “no reason.”

Professionally, the year brought its share of unexpected twists. For the first time in my career, I parted ways with not one, but two employers. Up until December 2022, this had NEVER happened to me. While these changes rattled my personal life a bit, they also forced me to reevaluate what I truly wanted to spend my time and energy on. Strangely enough, I found myself opening my laptop in the mornings, technically unemployed, feeling more energized than I’d been in years. Who knew a blank calendar could be so inspiring?

This renewed energy pushed me to create Big Creek Growth. I wanted to channel over 15 years of professional experience into helping others grow their businesses, customer bases, and teams. At its core, I realized my passion wasn’t just about achieving goals—it was about helping others achieve theirs. While we focus heavily on recruiting, software development projects, and fractional executive placements, I like to think of us as a "Results as a Service" company. If there’s a part of your business you want to grow, we’re here to make it happen—whether that’s through our own expertise or by leveraging our extensive network of connections.

So, here we are at the tail end of an incredibly crazy year for me, and Big Creek Growth is officially off and running. If 2024 taught me anything, it’s that unexpected detours often lead to the best destinations. If you’re looking to grow your business in 2025, let’s connect. I can’t promise I’ll remember your name on the first try (blame the 40s), but I can promise that we’ll get results.
